Guided Fly Fishing Trips On The Green River

About an hour’s drive southeast of Jackson lies the Green River, a true western Wyoming gem!
The Green River is primarily a Brown and Rainbow trout fishery, but it does hold some Colorado River Cutthroat trout as well. The best way to access these fish is via drift boat since the Green mostly flows through private land.

About Fly Fishing On The Green River

We typically start our fly fishing season on the Green River in May, while other rivers in the region are experiencing runoff. Some of the best trout of the season are caught here through June. Explosive hatches begin towards the end of June and provide excellent dry fly fishing through July. Late Summer into early Fall is all about the terrestrials and a few small Mayflies that make for some technical sight fishing. We spend October into November looking for migratory Kokanee and the trout that follow them.

Guided Fly Fishing Trip Prices

Due to drive times, we only offer full day trips on the Green River. Since the Green is a smaller river, we can only fit two anglers in one boat, a third angler will require a second boat.
