Guided Fly Fishing on the Green River
The Green River is a true western Wyoming gem and our guided float trips down the Green will get you where you need to be! After it exits the Wind River Range at the Green River Lakes, the Green flows through the sagebrush plains near Pinedale. This river holds browns, rainbows, and cutthroat trout.
Great early season hatches make this an excellent destination for early summer trips before other rivers in the area clear up. Our guides float the Green until it gets too low to float, usually somewhere in late August, and then will walk/wade during the fall.
This is a more technical river to fish than the Snake, but can still be quite rewarding for the novice angler. Lower fish counts per mile means larger and smarter trout and typically lower catch rates. This river is not for first day novices, but more for beginners looking to improve their skills to the advanced angler looking for a trophy fish. The typical fishing day is from the boat as most of the river flows through private land. Check our blog for the latest reports and conditions.
